Jim Situ, P.E.

Jim is a licensed Civil Engineer in California and Nevada with over a decade of experience in structural engineering. With a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Stanford University, he now specializes in custom single-family home construction, additions, remodeling, and retrofitting. Jim applies his extensive experience to create spaces that are structurally sound and aligned with his clients' visions. His holistic approach ensures that every project is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, adding exceptional value to each client’s home.

Jim’s diverse portfolio includes high-rise buildings, corporate headquarters, and innovative modular multi-family projects. Prior to launching his own practice, he worked at Arup, a leading structural engineering firm, and at RAD Urban, a pioneer in prefabricated modular construction, where he gained a comprehensive understanding of the entire building process. He also collaborated with renowned architect Frank Gehry on building information modeling consulting during the construction phase of complex projects, enhancing his ability to navigate intricate design challenges.

Jim has contributed to landmark projects such as the China World Trade Center Tower III, Warner Bros. Headquarters in Burbank, Facebook’s Building X, and many others.

Ye Wang

Ye is a researcher specializing in sustainable and computational design, with a focus on advanced fabrication techniques such as 3D printing. At MIT, she earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Engineering degree, where she specialized in computer graphics. Ye has led the development of innovative tools for design, construction management, and advanced manufacturing, contributing to numerous successful projects that bridge cutting-edge technology and practical application in architecture and engineering.

Lanxi Liu, P.E.

Lanxi is a licensed civil engineer in California and Nevada, with over seven years of experience in structural analysis, design, and project management. She specializes in seismic analysis and non-structural support systems, offering a wealth of expertise to every project she undertakes.

Passionate about delivering innovative, thoughtful, and client-focused structural solutions, Lanxi has successfully contributed to a diverse portfolio of projects. Her work includes seismic retrofits of historic buildings, custom-designed high-end residences, mid-rise residential complexes, and commercial structures. She is proficient in various construction materials, including structural steel, reinforced concrete, concrete masonry, cold-formed steel, and wood.

Lanxi is highly organized, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator who thrives in collaborative environments. She works closely with design teams, contractors, and clients to address challenges and ensure smooth project execution from start to finish.

Lanxi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Stanford University. We are proud to have her as a structural collaborator, bringing unparalleled expertise and dedication to our projects.

Glenn Cai, Expert BIM Specialist

Glenn is a seasoned BIM Specialist with a rich background in BIM modeling, design coordination, and programming. With over 15 years of experience, he combines technical proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Dynamo, and programming languages like C# and Python to streamline design workflows, enhance efficiency, and ensure seamless project delivery.

From public transportation and federal facilities to multifamily housing, single-family residences, and modular construction, Glenn has contributed to diverse projects by leveraging cutting-edge BIM technologies. His expertise includes creating clash-free models, developing custom Revit applications, automating design processes, and mentoring teams in BIM standards and techniques.

When he’s not innovating in the BIM space, Glenn enjoys mountain biking and snowboarding, bringing the same energy and precision to the slopes and trails as he does to his professional endeavors.
